Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information EIAT Prep (“we,” “us”) collects through eiatprep.com and the EIAT Prep mobile app, and how we use it. By using either you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Email & name you give us. When you sign up for recruitment-window alerts or request a resource, we collect the email address and any name you provide so we can deliver what you asked for and send related prep emails.
• Approximate location. We derive an approximate city, region, and country from your IP address to understand where our users are (for example, which recruitment areas they care about).
• Server logs. Standard web-server request logs (IP address, user agent, pages requested) are retained by our hosting provider for a limited time for security and debugging.

The EIAT Prep app

• Stored only on your phone. Your practice-test answers, progress, chosen recruitment area and interview notes are saved on your device. We do not receive them, and deleting the app deletes them.
• Email (optional). If you enter an email in the app, we store it with your chosen recruitment area to send window alerts, exactly as for a website signup. It is also attached to your subscription record so we can help you with billing questions.
• Anonymous usage events. The app sends events such as “practice test finished” tied to a random ID created on your device, plus the app version and platform. We do not use advertising identifiers and do not track you across other apps or websites.
• Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google. We never see your payment details. RevenueCat receives your subscription status and an anonymous customer ID so the app knows whether Pro is active.
• AI tutor, AI mock interview and answer feedback. When you ask the tutor a question, answer a mock-interview question, or tap “Score my answer”, the text you typed (and the practice question it relates to) is sent through our server to Anthropic to generate the reply. We do not store that text. To apply the free daily limits and check whether Pro is active, our server records that an AI request was made, with the time and your app’s anonymous purchase ID (the RevenueCat customer ID), and looks up that ID’s subscription status with RevenueCat.
• Crash reports. If the app hits an error, it sends a short technical report (the error message and code location, the app version and platform) tied to the same random device ID as usage events, so we can fix it.
• Feedback you send. Messages from the app’s feedback form, with any email you choose to include, are emailed to us so we can reply.
• Reminders. Recruitment-window reminders are scheduled on your device. No push token is sent to us.

How we use your information

• To send recruitment-window alerts and prep emails you signed up for (unsubscribe anytime).
• To deliver resources you request.
• To measure and improve the site.

We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party processors

We share the minimum necessary data with service providers that help us run the site:

• Resend — sending transactional and prep emails.
• Supabase — secure storage of signups.
• Vercel — website hosting.
• Apple and Google — app distribution and subscription billing.
• RevenueCat — app subscription status.
• Anthropic — generating AI tutor answers, mock-interview questions and scores, and interview-answer feedback in the app, only when you use those features.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email, or request that we delete your information by emailing support@eiatprep.com.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
